JAKARTA: PT Toyota Astra Motor plans to apply the technology in network Green Workshop official workshops throughout Indonesia as an effort to reduce the impact of waste results service their car serviced.

Toyota Green Workshop have waste treatment facilities such as used batteries, waste B3, motor vehicle fumes, waste oil and other waste generated after the repair or car maintenance.

Joko explained batteries used are grouped into two, namely tin and an empty plastic box the rest of the battery will be treated in such a way that it has added value to the consumer and the environment.

Tin waste will be burned with rotary furnaces and produce a large metal rod and then sold back to some battery plant for reuse.

The empty plastic than the rest of the battery will be recycled into small sections and then washed and resold to manufacturers of non-food for reuse.
