JAKARTA: PT Mandiri Investment Management managed to collect Rp 86.5 billion managed funds on the first day of the product launch an equity fund Equity Investments Mandiri Movement (MIEM).

President Director of PT Mandiri Investment Management Abiprayadi said mutual fund products that have earned a letter from Bapepam LK effective on July 10, has been getting sufficient positive response from investors, especially among isntitusi.

"The investment is managed on launch day (Wednesday, October 3) of Rp 86.5 billion from nine institutional investors," he said in a release received by Business, Wednesday (10/03/2012).

Director of Product Development and Investments Independent Business said Andreas M Gunawidjaja mutual fund products Niem combines fundamental analysis (value) and technical analisas (momentum) is a differentiator from other products.

"Mutual funds are managed according to a scoring system to select undervalued stocks (priced below fair value value) and had a trend of rising prices," he said.

MIEM Fund invested in stocks listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange, both large-cap stocks, mid and small with a review of the content of the portfolio and rebalancing is done quarterly.

In addition to these products, in March 2011, also launched a mutual fund MMI Investments Mandiri Dynamic Equity-focused medium-and small-cap stocks with quantitative investment strategies.

Funds management by the end of September, has reached more than Rp1, 2 trillion, with the yield on within the past year approached 17%. Meanwhile, the Mandiri managed funds investments around Rp20 trillion.
